The new battery works better than the original and lasts much longer on a charge. It was easy to replace the battery and the only surprise I had was that the color of the battery didn't match the picture on amazon. It was black instead of yellow., Replacement battery works great in monitor. Overall battery life could be better and wish they would sell replacements in stores, but only seems to be available online., We bought this to replace the battery in the Summer Infant Video Monitor we received as a gift in 2008 to use for our second child. It was compatible with our monitor and works great.
